Hey, it’s me
Your Travel Agent
Lorren
Hello, welcome! I'm Lorren Pitchford, your friendly neighborhood travel agent and the proud owner of Sky Meets the Sea Travel Co. LLC. I have been a travel agent for over four years and a business owner for two years. I have worked with hundreds of families who have traveled worldwide. Sky Meets the Sea was made possible thanks to their love and support!
The beach & sea play a huge role in my identity. I grew up 10 minutes from the ocean, and now live 2 blocks from the beach in Ponce Inlet, Florida. Nightly, I walk the beach and pick up shells for my flower beds.
My love for travel started through the art of storytelling. Disney and Harry Potter cultivated my love for magic. Books sparked my interest in different cultures. Star Wars bloomed my desire to adventure with my dearest friends. Without fairy tales, I wouldn’t be where I am today, creating wondrous magic and epics in the form of out-of-this-world vacations.

I graduated from the University of Florida in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science and a Disabilities in Society Minor. Graduating from my dream school is one of my greatest accomplishments. I am very proud to be a Florida Gator and member of the Eta Xi chapter of Gamma Phi Beta.

Meet my only and favorite employee: Ash! Ash is one year old. He is named after everyone's favorite Pokémon trainer. If you are on the phone with me, he's most likely sleeping on my desk or under my desk at my feet. He knows all the company secrets and is just as excited for your vacation as I am!
-

As a lifelong Floridian, I grew up in and around water. Some of my hobbies include skiing, wakeboarding, boating, fishing, and jetskiing. No matter where I find myself traveling to in the future, Lake Kerr in Salt Springs, Florida will always be one of my favorite vacation destinations.
-

If you didn't notice or realize it, Sky Meets the Sea Travel Co. LLC was inspired by Disney's "Moana." Moana's strength and courage to travel and explore is inspiring. I think we all should take a page out of Moana's book and be fearless for ourselves, our family, and go wherever our hearts yearn to venture.

Walt Disney World was my childhood. I "lived" there on the weekends. Even now, as an adult, I still venture to the theme parks a couple of times a month. As a lifelong Annual Passholder, I have been to WDW hundreds of times at this point. It is my specialty and the destination I am known for planning.
-

In 2022, during the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration, I obtained the opportunity to go on a VIP Tour, which is Disney's elite guest experience. Our tour guide showed us magical hidden gems in the parks, taught us the history of WDW, and led us backstage. I will never forget that day!
-

Fun fact about my family: my grandfather helped build Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside (at the time it was called Disney's Dixie Landings Resort). He constructed the resort's manmade waterways and bridges. Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside at WDW will always have a special place in my heart!
-

I have been asked countless times, "Lorren, what is the best thing you have ever done at WDW?" This question is always tough. I have been blessed with so many out-of-this-world experiences throughout the years. My VIP Tour was stellar, but staying in a Cascade Cabin at Disney's Wilderness Lodge - wow!

I don't have children, but that doesn't mean I can't plan trips for families with kiddos. Vacationing with this little family member is one of my new favorite things. Don't count me out as your agent because I don't have my own bundle of joy at home. I have plenty of experience traveling with kids.
-

The location I have traveled to the most besides Walt Disney World is Universal Orlando Resort. As a huge Harry Potter fan, I grew up exploring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Fun facts about me: I am a Gryffindor, I have read the series over ten times, and Hermione is my favorite character!

On Janurary 18th, 2024, Sky Meets the Sea was born. I can't believe it has been two years since my company went live. When I was in Japan, I filled out an ema at Fushimi Inari Taisha, which is a Shinto shrine in Kyoto. There I wrote a wish for the continued success, health, and growth of my business.
-

My favorite country I have traveled to is Japan. I loved Kyoto for the history. I loved Osaka for the food. I loved Nara for the wildlife. I loved Tokyo for its ability to bring my favorite stories to life. In my opinion, Japan is the best country in the world. Exploring it brings me immense joy!
-

Another question I get asked is, "Lorren, is WDW the best Disney Destination in the world?" The answer: no, it's not. Tokyo Disney Resort is on another level. The Disney magic they are creating in Japan is unmatched. Tokyo DisneySea gave me goosebumps and brought happy tears to my eyes.
-

My favorite worldwide beach destination that I have traveled to is Tulum, Mexico. In Tulum, you are immersed in the jungle, but at the same time, you are steps from the ocean. Growing up in Florida has compelled me to seek unique beach destinations that are vastly different from my everyday reality.
-

It is no secret, I travel often. You never know where the wind will take me. In the last two years, I ventured to Colorado, St. Louis, Key West and Clearwater Beach. I also traveled abroad to Tulum, Cancun, Punta Cana, Costa Rica, Japan, and Colombia. My next adventure is to the Bahamas in March!

Traveling is my fantasy quest. A quest in fantasy fiction involves a hero's magical journey to achieve a goal, often leading to personal growth. As I travel the globe on my 'quest,' I have grown to learn and appreciate different cultures, people, faiths, and love everyone, no matter where they come from.
